Gennaro Regina - The artist and the company

Gennaro Regina, born in 1965, comes from a family of art book publishers and antiquarian booksellers whose activity dates back to 1800. Regina matches his family cultural heritage with his two main passions - painting and photography - giving life to works of art that today inhabit the rooms of Italian and foreign collectors, conquering especially the United States. In 2007, Gennaro Regina set up an art exhibition in the atelier of an important Neapolitan artist, gaining a huge success both among the public and the art critics. It was right then that he established contact with the external world, beyond the safeguarding spaces of his creativity, so taking his emotions expressed through paintings and collage inside the PAN, the prestigious Palace of the Arts in Naples. And that was just the first exhibition on a list that would even include Milan, the Vatican Museums in Rome, Geneva, Luxembourg, the United States. At the PAN, Regina organized an exhibition called “L’urlo del Vesuvio” that would become, then, an art catalogue published by Mondadori. An astonishing show that appeared like a scream of denunciation given by Naples, tired of suffering without reacting. A protest cried out through works of art where you can find together traces of Munch with regard to his way of mixing colors - on which the Vesuvius lies down - and touches of Wahrol, as for his communicative and commercial typical trait. A fusion that does not clash, giving life, on the contrary, to a charming and unprecedented art.

In 2017, Gennaro Regina won an award at Los Angeles Movie Awards in the category best experimental for the direction of the short film Suriezione, a mini-documentary about his live performance.
